This Privacy Policy describes how O! ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the O! app and website (together, the "Service").

Information we collect

When you create an account and use O!, we collect:

• Account information — username, display name, email address, and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text).
• Profile information — anything you choose to add, such as a bio, profile photo, cover photo, and profile theme.
• Content you create — posts, comments, reactions, photos, videos, marketplace listings, and messages you send to other users or groups.
• Connections — who you follow, who follows you, friend relationships, group memberships, and blocked/reported users.
• Device and push notification information — a device identifier used solely to deliver push notifications to you via our notification provider, OneSignal.
• Usage information — basic technical information (such as IP address and device type) collected automatically to keep the Service secure and working correctly.

How we use this information

• To provide and operate the core features of O! — your feed, profile, groups, marketplace, and messages.
• To send you notifications about activity relevant to you (likes, comments, friend requests, messages, etc.), which you can control in Settings.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our content policies (including reviewing reported content and bug reports).
• To communicate with you about your account when necessary.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your content or messages to serve you third-party advertising.

Sharing information

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• With other users, according to your own privacy and visibility settings (e.g., posts marked "public" vs. "friends").
• With service providers who help us operate the Service, currently limited to push notification delivery (OneSignal) and cloud storage/hosting for media. These providers only receive what they need to perform that function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of O!, our users, or the public.

Your choices and rights

• You can edit or delete your profile information, posts, and messages at any time from within the app.
• You can control who sees your posts and whether your profile is public via your privacy settings.
• You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings or in-app Settings.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or security purposes.

Children's privacy

O! is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
